National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Recall For February 26, 2021

Good morning, 

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued its third tire recall this week.  This recall involves tires manufactured by Cooper Tires and sold under several different names at many locations.  The issue is the tires might blow out possibly causing a loss of vehicle control and crash.

Please review the list.  If your tires are affected please have them replaced as soon as possible.  Afflicted tire will be replaced at no charge to you.

Safety Issue Type: Recalls February 19 2021 NHTSA Campaign Number: 21T002000 Tire Sidewall Separation A sidewall separation may cause the tire to rapidly defate, increasing the risk of a crash.

(Cooper Tire) is recalling certain Discoverer, Evolution, Courser, Deegan, Adventurer, Hercules, Back Country, Multi-Mile Wild Country and Big O brand tires. The tires may develop a bulge or separation in the sidewall.

 Remedy Cooper Tire will notify owners, and dealers will replace affected tires, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 25, 2021. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Tire Recall For February 25, 2021

 Good morning,

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued its second tire recall of the week.  This recall states the affected tires might blowout which might lead to loss of vehicle control and a crash.

Please review the recall details.  If your vehicle is affected by this recall please have the afflicted tires replaced as soon as possible.  

Tires affected by this recall are replaced at no cost to you.

Synopsis :	Continental Tire the Americas, LLC. (Continental Tire) is recalling certain Continental, General, and Barum brand tires sold as original or replacement equipment. The affected tires were cured for too long during production. Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall resulting in sudden air loss or a belt edge separation which could lead to a tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Continental Tire will notify the owners that purchased the tires as replacement equipment. Various vehicle manufacturers will conduct recalls for vehicles equipped with these tires at the time of purchase. The tires will be inspected to verify that they are affected, and will be replaced as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 5, 2021. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for tires that might blow out raising the possibility of a crash.

Please review the recall.  If your vehicle is affected by this recall please have the tires replaced as quickly as possible.  Replacement of affected tires under this recall is free-of-charge to you.

Synopsis :	Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (Cooper Tire) is recalling certain Cooper CS5 Grand Touring 225/55R17 and Mastercraft LSR Grand Touring 225/55R17 tires with DOT codes 2920 through 0121. The tires may have low tread gauge in the shoulder slot area which could cause tread separation and sidewall failure. A sidewall failure may cause the tire to rapidly deflate, increasing the risk of a crash. Cooper Tire will notify registered owners, and dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the tires, free of charge. Copper Tire plans to begin notification no later than April 22, 2021. Owners may contact Cooper Tire customer service at 1-800-854-6288. Cooper Tire's number for this recall is 177-2. Note: This recall supersedes 20T-017 and any tires recalled under 20T-017, but not yet replaced, are now included in this safety recall.
