Recalls for January 16, 2017

Happy Monday everyone.  I hope you all had a safe motoring weekend.

As in the past few weeks, the list of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recalls is a little short.  None-the-less, all of the recalls address safety issues that cannot be ignored.  Issues include air bag problems, brake troubles, fuel tank issues, seat problems, axle problems, reflector troubles, transmission electrical troubles and more.

Please review the list.  If your vehicle is affected, please have it repaired as quickly as possible.

Happy Monday Everyone!

The first full work week of 2017 is the start to another adventurous year.  This week the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration list of recalls is shorter than usual.  This might be due to last week being a short work week.  This week there is trouble in stability control systems, Other issues include failed welds, loose seats, water entering electrical connections, electrical fires, axle troubles, stair troubles, wheel chair lift problems and more.

What is a recall?
When a manufacturer or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) determines that a vehicle creates an unreasonable risk to safety or fails to meet minimum safety standards, the manufacturer is required to fix that vehicle at no cost to the owner. That can be done by repairing it, replacing it, offering a refund (for equipment) or, in rare cases, repurchasing the car.

Happy New Year Everyone!  I hope 2017 will be a safe motoring year for you, your family and friends.

The year starts out with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issuing several recalls.  This week some vehicles might lose power steering assistance.  Electrical fires may hit other vehicles.  Some brake systems might leak hydraulic fluid.  On some vehicles suspension parts might break.

Recalls for December 26, 2016

Happy Monday.  I hope you had a safe motoring Christmas holiday.  Let's remain safe for the remainder of the year and be especially cautious during the upcoming holiday and 2017.

Despite many businesses being closed for Christmas, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued their list of recalls.  Many are for trucks and recreational vehicles but some cars have safety issues that need attention.  This week's issues include welds that can break, axles that can't bare the load, air bags fail to work, fuel leaks might cause fire, engines might stall and more.
