National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Recalls For January 16, 2023

Good morning.  

On this Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released their weekly list of vehicle safety recalls.   The list is short but important.

The issues are a steering system might lock potentially causing a crash.  The other issue is a short circuit might cause a fire.  

Please review the list.  If your vehicle is affected by these recalls please have it repaired as quickly as possible.  Your life and the lives of your passengers and others who share the road with you might be at risk.

Recall repairs performed at your favorite factory authorized dealership are completed at no charge to you.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Child Seat Recall For January 12, 2023

Good morning.  Happy Thursday!

This morning the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a recall for a child seat.  

Please review the recall.  It states the child seat manufacturer will refund the cost of the child seat.

Synopsis :	JD E-Commerce America Limited (Joybuy Express) is recalling all Marainbow Portable Infant Safe Seat and materially similar child seats. Please refer to Joybuy Express' affected products attachment for specific child seat model details. The installation labels display incorrect instructions. The child seat's design also prohibits it from being installed properly. As such, these child seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, "Child Restraint Systems." The child seat may be improperly installed, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. Joybuy Express will provide a refund to purchasers. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Joybuy Express' customer service at 1-302-426-4543. This recall expands and replaces NHTSA recall number 22C-007.
