We hope your battery is up to the task of starting your vehicle. In this weather a battery might lose 50 percent or more of it's ability to crank the engine to start.
If your vehicle's battery dies please consider calling a professional service provider to start the car. Improper jump start procedures could damage the vehicle's electrical system not only in the vehicle that needs a jump but also the vehicle that provides the boost.
Frigid weather has not impaired the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's ability to issue recalls. This week's safety issues include electric step that might extend while the vehicle is moving, seat belt anchor bolts that might not hold in a crash, air leaks in brake systems, failed steering, fuel system leaks, faulty tires, axle bearing problems, stalling engines, electrical shorts that could cause fires, and much more.
Please review the recall list. If your vehicle is affected please have it repaired as soon as possible. Also, please consider using the the NHTSA vehicle identification number look-up tool. You will be able to find out if your vehicle is affected by a recall.
Stay warm! Have a safe motoring week!
To find out if your vehicle is included in the recall, use our VIN Look-up Tool.
