National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Tire Recall For February 25, 2022

 Good morning, 

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a tire recall.  Please refer to the recall information below.  The tread might separate causing a blow-out that might lead to loss of vehicle control.

The tire manufacture will replace the tires of this recall at no cost to you.

Synopsis :

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (Continental Tire) is recalling certain ContiScoot tires. Cracks may develop in the tread grooves longer than 3/16 inch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires-Other Than Passenger Cars." Please refer to the 573 report for specific tire size information. Cracks in the tread can lead to tread separation, increasing the risk of a crash. Continental Tire will notify owners and replace the affected tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 28, 2022. Owners may contact Continental Tire customer service at 1-888-799-2168.
