National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Tire Recall For February 25, 2022

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a tire recall.  Please refer to the recall information below.  The tread might separate causing a blow-out that might lead to loss of vehicle control.

The tire manufacture will replace the tires of this recall at no cost to you.

Synopsis :

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (Continental Tire) is recalling certain ContiScoot tires. Cracks may develop in the tread grooves longer than 3/16 inch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires-Other Than Passenger Cars." Please refer to the 573 report for specific tire size information. Cracks in the tread can lead to tread separation, increasing the risk of a crash. Continental Tire will notify owners and replace the affected tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 28, 2022.
