The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued four recalls. Issues and concerns are over air bags that fire shrapnel into the passenger compartment. Talk about insult over injury. You're in harms way in a collision and then the air bag that is supposed to reduce injury shoots metal into your body.
Other issues are over a basic parking brake mechanism that could fail and cause two different vehicles to roll away. The last issue is over possible engine fires.
I don't what's worse. Is it not finding your car in the space you parked it due to a faulty parking brake or is discovering that it's burnt to a crisp worse? Either way it ruins your day.

NHTSA Campaign Number: 13E017000
Component(s): AIR BAGS
Potential Number of Units Affected: 0
Equipment Brand NamePart No. or Model No.Production Dates
Manufacturer: TAKATA CORPORATION
SUMMARY:
Takata has determined that certain passenger side air bag inflators it manufactured and supplied to various vehicle manufacturers for use in passenger air bags may produce excessive internal pressure causing the inflators to rupture upon deployment of the air bag.
CONSEQUENCE:
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger's air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the passenger seat occupant or other occupants.
REMEDY:
Owners of all vehicles on which a defective air bag may have been installed either as original equipment, or as a replacement, will be notified by their respective vehicle manufacturers. Dealers will inspect vehicles, and where a defective air bag inflator is identified, the inflator will be replaced, free of charge. Owners may contact their vehicle manufacturer for more information.
