Recalls for May 12, 2014

Happy Monday everyone.  I hope all you Moms had a great Mother's Day.

Today the recall list from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is a little shorter than it has in the last few months.  Perhaps vehicles are being manufactured with a little more thought in the areas of design, engineering and supply.

Despite the short list, if your vehicle is affected by a recall it is still important to have it repaired as quickly as possible.

On the list is a recall for ice formation in the intake manifold.  With the summer months just around the corner don't ignore this recall.  Time flies quickly so don't procrastinate, have the vehicle repaired as quickly as possible.  Now is a great time to have this issue repaired.  If you wait until cold weather returns your vehicle may be down and out of commission a longer period of time due to parts availability and shop schedule.

Besides ice forming is intake manifolds the issues this week include brake failures, bolt failures, fractured cables, overheating switches, air bag issues and more.

Have a great week!
