National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Tire Recall May 10, 2022

 Good morning,

This morning, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a recall for Michelin Tires.  Please review the recall information.  If these tires are rolling on your vehicle, please have them replaced as soon as possible.  

Your tire dealer will replace tires affected by this recall at no charge to you.

Synopsis :

Michelin North America, Inc. (Michelin) is recalling certain Pilot Sport 4 ZP tires, size 255/35ZR19 96Y XL with DOT codes 0521 through 2121. The DOT certification symbol is missing from the tire sidewalls. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles." Tires that are missing a DOT symbol may be used in inappropriate applications, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Michelin customer service at 1-888-847-8475.
