Cure For Groaning Rear Brakes in Mazda CX-7 or CX-9

It is amazing that carmakers have been designing and building cars for well over 100 years.  Yet, one of the basic systems still is a concern for many motorists.  Granted the basic function of brakes is to stop a vehicle.  They need to stop under a wide variety of conditions consistently and without fail.

Motorists also insist that the brake system must not make a sound when it slows a ton or more to a stop.  After all noisy brakes can be embarrassing even though they bring a car to a safe stop.

Fortunately for owners of 2007 and 2008 Mazda CX-7 or CX-9 vehicles who have been experiencing groaning rear brakes, there is hope.  Mazda engineers have slaved day and night to develop a fix for the moaning and groaning of vehicle owners and the rear brakes on their SUVs.  According to technical service bulletin number 04-004/08 there is a kit (number L2Y8-26-43Z) consisting of rear brake pads, shims and guide plates that silences the noise.

If you own one of these vehicles when the rear brakes are suffering from excessive wear or you just can't stand the noise any longer, ask your favorite technician to look up the technical service bulletin that addresses the noisy concern.  The parts are available from your local dealership.  Once he or she performs the procedures and installs the parts, all moaning and groaning should come to an end.
