Lexus Oil Leak, Oh My

For those of you piloting a 2008 Lexus LX 570 along the highways with oil dripping on your driveway and garage floor, there is hope.  It's possible there is a damaged oil pan or leaky oil pan gasket.  However, some leaky 570s have a failed seal around the oil dipstick tube.

If you are so inclined, head to your dealer or favorite independent repair shop.  If a technician verifies the leak is indeed caused by a failed oil dipstick tube "O" ring, Lexus engineers have developed an updated "O" ring that should cure the menacing leak.
