The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued eight recalls during the Friday dump when no one pays attention.
Two buses have issues. One is for loose bolts. The other is afflicted with faults in a roof-top emergency hatch.
Two wood chippers are suffering as well. One might lose a wheel. The other might develop cracks in the frame.
A problem developed with a kickstand on a motorcycle. It could topple over. If Fido or a person is in the way they could suffer injury or worse.
Defects is a tire could develop into cracks which could led to a blow-out.
Lastly two cars are under recall. One could crash because a control arm could snap. The other vehicle has trouble with a sticky accelerator pedal.
All of these issues could result in crashes, injury or deaths.

Consequence:
Without correctly tightened body mount bolts, there may be a reduction in the vehicle's integrity, which in the event of a crash, may result in the passengers having an increased risk of injury. |
Remedy:

Summary:
Mercedes-Benz is recalling certain accessory all-season floor mats sold for use in model year 2012 and 2013 Mercedes-Benz ML-Class vehicles. This all-season floor mat may not fully conform to the contour of the vehicle's floor plan as intended. Clearance between the mat and the gas pedal may be reduced, possibly allowing the pedal to become trapped. |
Consequence:
This interference could prevent the gas pedal from retracting and the vehicle may not decelerate as expected when the driver lifts their foot from the gas pedal, which could increase the risk of a crash. Should the pedal become trapped, steady application of the brakes will allow the vehicle to be brought to a stop. |
Remedy:
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners, and dealers will replace the floor mats free of charge. Until replacement mats become available, consumers are advised to remove their floor mats from the vehicle. The safety recall is expected to begin during September 2012. Only vehicles equipped with the accessory floor mats are affected. Glaval Bus is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 transit buses equipped with Speciality Manufacturing Inc. (SMI) ProLo roof escape hatches. Increased friction between the rear plate assemblies, p/no. 009327, and the nylon rear pop-up support, p/no. 008956, may result in opening force of the ProLo roof hatches that exceeds Federal standard requirements. Thus, these hatches fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release." |
Consequence:
In the event of an emergency, passengers' exit from the bus may be hindered, possibly resulting in injury to the vehicle occupants. |
Remedy:

Ducati is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Diavel motorcycles manufactured from May 25, 2012, through June 28, 2012. The side stand may bend or break. |
Consequence:
The side stand could bend or break in the pivot area, allowing the motorcycle to fall over, increasing the risk of personal injury to the operator or others near the motorcycle. Even without falling over, a bent sidestand may interfere with the proper operation of the sidestand safety switch, preventing the bike from starting or causing the bike to stall without warning. |
Remedy:
