If you are experiencing a loss of power in your hybrid 2005 to 2008 Ford Escape or Mercury Mariner listen up. More than likely you see a red warning triangle on your dash alerting you to a problem. If your repair shop is at a loss as to what the trouble might be ask them to consider the trouble is caused by an overheating transaxle.
According to engineers at Ford the trouble might be caused by a failed electric cooling pump. Tests will determine the trouble. Replacing the pump cures the condition.
